AC Compressor Service Video

Your AC compressor helps your car produce cold air by moving refrigerant through the AC system. If the compressor fails, the vents may blow warm air. A bad AC compressor can cause warm air, loud noise, poor cooling, or a compressor clutch that will not engage.

The compressor squeezes refrigerant and sends it to the condenser. From there, the system removes heat from the cabin. If the compressor is weak, the whole AC system may stop cooling well.

Springfield summers can be humid and hot. Local driving around I-70, US-40, and Route 68 can make weak AC problems easy to notice during short trips and long drives.

At Zima Automotive, we do not replace the compressor based on a single symptom. We check refrigerant level, system pressure, leaks, the compressor clutch, and related parts. This helps determine whether the compressor is bad or another part is causing the problem.

Drivers from Urbana and Mechanicsburg may visit our Springfield shop when the AC blows warm or makes noise when turned on. If your AC is warm, noisy, or not turning on, call Zima Automotive at (937) 342-3911.

If your cooling system needs checking, contact us about our auto AC repair service. An auto repair in Springfield can inspect your AC system, check for cooling or airflow issues, and explain the right fix.
