Fuel Pump Service Video

A weak fuel pump can make your car hard to start. It may also cause sputtering, weak power, or a whining sound near the fuel tank. If the pump fails, the engine may not run even with gas in the tank.

A failing fuel pump can cause hard starts, stalling, sputtering, weak power, or a no-start because the engine is not getting steady fuel pressure.

The fuel pump sends gas from the tank to the engine. It must keep steady pressure so the fuel injectors can spray the right amount. If pressure drops, the engine may run rough or feel slow.

Springfield driving can make weak fuel issues easier to notice. Cold Ohio starts, and local driving around I-70, US-40, and Urbana Road can show problems during starts, merges, or longer trips.

At Zima Automotive, we do not replace a pump based on noise alone. We check fuel pressure, scan for codes, and look at the fuel pump, fuel filter, fuel injectors, and wiring. This helps show if the pump is bad or if another part is causing the issue.

Drivers from Urbana and Mechanicsburg may visit our Springfield shop when the car cranks too long, stalls, or loses power. If your car sputters, stalls, or will not start, call Zima Automotive at (937) 342-3911. If fuel pressure needs to be checked, ask about our fuel system repair and cleaning service.
